Chestnut Grove Sawmills is the leading supplier of sawn Poplar wood to the Western and Eastern Cape, operating 6 state of the art Breakdown and Recovery saws.

Up to 70% of our work is repeat business from timber wholesalers, thatching companies and developers that we have built relationships with over the past 7 years.

Our product range –

• Square beams (any size) - for example 50mm x 50mm to 500mm x 500mm up to 10m in length.

• Rectangular beams (any size) ) - for example 50mm x 100mm to 200mm x 300mm up to 10m in length.

• Rough square beams (any size) - round pole slabbed on 4 sides

• Round poles – roof thatching or slabbed 1 side

• Flooring & ceiling boards – 19mm and 32mm

• Bamboo 25 – 40mm diameter “spaansriet”

• Lathes 25 – 40mm diameter “latte”

• Timber mouldings (Cornish and skirtings)
